Heaven's Vault Book 4 is out now!

Today, the Heaven's Vault sequence reaches its end. What began as a game expanded into a duology of novels, The Loop and The Vault, which deepened and extended the game's world. Last year we went further with the release of Book 3: The Flood, which picks up events after the end of the game. Now that second duology is complete, with the release of Book 4: The Rising Light. A new threat is looming for the Nebula, and the only hope is an legend so Ancient there is no record of it anywhere. With Iox and Elboreth both fallen, and Renaki - and Oroi - far from reach, who can Aliya trust to help her unravel the mystery of the Wanderer? We couldn't be more excited to be bringing the series to its conclusion. Thank you for sailing the rivers with us!

As other reviews have noted, Heaven's Vault has fantastic worldbuilding coupled with absolutely abysmal gameplay. Everything from dialogue to walking to sailing to checking language puzzles is agonizingly slow and tedious, and even elements that should feel fun (like conversations with important characters) are miserable. Don't get the wrong impression about what this game actually is. This is not a game about translating an ancient language, this is a detective story game about exploring and solving a mystery. Translating an ancient language is just an ocasional gimmick. If you want a game about translating an ancient language, play Chants of Sennaar.

Deep, vibrant and beautiful experience. First of all, I'm OUTRAGED by how much people misunderstand this game. Yes, it's rough around some edges: transitions eats time and sometimes occur without warning the player, maybe resulting in a slower experience than intended. Also, this game is not even close to what Chants of Sennaar is. The only thing they have in common is the fact that you'll be deciphering a lost...
