It turns out there was a bug still in the game where the Free DLC area would appear on the World Map early, while the player was in the Airship. I fixed this on console and other platforms, but it turns out I never pushed this particular change to Steam. In short, I'm a dummy XD Thank you to everyone who brought this issue to my attention, and I sincerely apologise for missing this!

This turn-based JRPG was a huge surprise for me. It executes everything it sets out to do extremely well. I wasn’t expecting the game’s art direction to capture the charm of classic 16-bit Final Fantasy titles so beautifully, but it absolutely does. Let me just start off by saying what a fantastic sequel this is. I already enjoyed 8BA1 a lot for its writing, but it definitely shows and feels its age. With 8-Bit Adventures 2 everything feels a lot fresher and newer - not simply because it is those things but because it's just all around a superior product.
