Well color me shocked. I didn't see this one coming.... If you like the style of the very early FF games, then this will probably hit pretty well. I grew up on this feel of RPGs so it instantly hooked me. It is pretty easy to get into and manage growth. And it feels pretty light hearted, reminding me a lot of the SNES days. So if you dig that feel, go for it. But I am already noticing the heavy use of status...

fun game, reminds me of ff1 + pokemon. definitely worth its price tag. story is a bit predictable but that is not a true negative. its simplistic approach is why i had so much fun with it and kept going to the end. my only gripe is the desert temple not having enough keys to unlock all its doors. looking forward to the sequel (?)

A very cool throwback-style JRPG with some modern quality of life touches! I finished it in about 6.5 hours while getting most of the secret items and high level spells. PROS - Can customize XP gain and toggle enemy encounters on and off - Can play the 4 worlds in any order - Fun exploration and lots of treasure to find - Solid pixel art - Not that long CONS - Story is very cliche and basic.
