For a solo game, the progression feels like a drawing on sand. Outside of unlocking card variety, nothing is permanent—not even the evolution of your key cards, which makes every hard-won upgrade feel fleeting. Since you're forced into pre-set decks with no room for true customization beyond a single special card, there is no real sense of long-term growth. It feels less like a journey and more like a repetitive...

absolutely zero strategy. just walk into a brick wall 500 times until you can collect some decent cards. seriously not fun.

Rogue Mage is actually way smarter than it looks. At first I thought it was just “Gwent but roguelike” and chill. Nope. The more you play, the more you realize this game is all about knowledge and decision-making. I’ve already beaten 3 main bosses and unlocked 3 multigenes, and the power scaling feels sooo satisfying when your build actually comes together. When your treasures + cards + multigene synergy hit...
