I've played Beat Hazard 1 and 2 and this game is different in the following ways. Pros: More ship upgrades. The Galaxy map is neat, but doesn't really add much tbh. More difficulties. More enemy types. Cons: Undisclosed AI art for UI icons. The new shielded enemies are annoying. No steam workshop for custom ships. undisclosed use of AI for in game icons, guaranteed crash when trying to add a module to your mothership, crashed 4 times this way. the galaxy music feature doesn't work well with MP3s without artist meta data, I put 300+ songs in a folder, scanned them and it ended up putting about 200 of those in a single system and lagged the hell out of the game if I tried to open it, why the insistence on having this stupid...

Warning: it's not a rhythm game that requires crazy coordination and rhythm skills like osu!, Synth Riders, Guitar Hero, or even Crypt of the NecroDancer. Here, you get a shoot 'em up with levels that react to an audio signal (blasts, enemies shooting, etc.). It has nothing to do with rhythm. If you're okay with that and just want to...
