Beat Saber’s Biggest Update Ever - Spring 2027
2026-09-24Hey players, Today we're pulling back the curtain on the biggest update in Beat Saber's history — a brand new mode, a brand new way to play, and a lot more. Flux — an all-new way to play Flux is the biggest addition since Beat Saber's full release in 2019. It's a new single-player experience built around hand tracking, where your hands become the weapons. You'll wield Flux Powers like the Flux Tether, which channels power between your palms to slice through notes in time with the beat. That power also surges to your left and right hands, which you'll use to punch through other note targets. Destroying notes builds Jolt energy — squeeze your fists while slicing to trigger a Jolt and earn big scores. Prefer controllers? Flux supports them, too.

Flux launches with 35 songs from the Original Soundtracks, Extras, and Anniversary packs — including tracks from Lindsey Stirling, Teminite, DragonForce, Haywyre, Camellia, and Boom Kitty, plus in-house tracks from Jaroslav Beck and Zakka G. More Flux songs are planned after launch. A refreshed Campaign We've completely refreshed the single-player Campaign for new and veteran players alike. It now weaves in a light narrative element, brings new barriers and missions, and adds checkpoints that let you unlock exclusive in-game rewards. The user interface got the same treatment — a new menu system that gets you into game modes and new content faster, plus an improved experience for first-time players. First-ever progression and rewards, including New Sabers! For the first time in Beat Saber, an all-new progression and rewards system. Earn cosmetic rewards including new New Sabers, Notes, Bombs,, and show off your personality and achievements with Profile Badges and Banners. It's all tracked in a new inventory system, so you can swap them in and out as you see fit. A new look This update also debuts Beat Saber's first logo redesign in nearly a decade, along with new key art. It's a new era for the game — and we kept the red and blue energy you know. Universal hand tracking For the first time, you can play all of Beat Saber without controllers. High-fidelity hand tracking lets you slice across the entire song library with your bare hands. Controllers aren't going anywhere — this is one more way to play, not a replacement. When? This update is coming in spring 2027 to Meta Quest, Meta VR Glasses and Steam.
