This is the first chapter in newest entry When They Cry visual novel series produced by Ryuukishi07. It features HD graphics, more detailed animations, and newly created songs by many of the composers from Umineko, as well as several new additions.

We've addressed a display issue encountered while playing the game on certain versions of Windows 10 and Steam. The previous work around was running the game under compatibility mode, but this update should enable it to run normally. Just let the game auto-update itself to apply.

I liked it a lot, but it's dead in the water. I believe that, if finished, it could really be up there right next to Higurashi and Umineko, but it's just been way too long to expect anything out of it. On the financial side of things, the original price (about 32$ on launch) already stung enough, especially for a VN without voice acting or unique CGs with chapters meant to be sold separately. Testing the PC specs attaching business. Hopefully it looks like a steam deck. :) By the way, this game plays great on a deck, but writing a review on the deck is pure masochism. :( If you've played Higurashi and Umineko, you know what you're getting into here. It's a genuine Ryuukishi07 experience. You're gonna feel it. My only hesitation in recommending Ciconia is it's "phase 1" of a currently incomplete...

Unfortunately no sign of the story continuing, still this is very well written. I love the way the world and conflict is presented and it's almost too relatable to real world problems, they hit me like a truck. bravo ryukishi
