I bought this game in a bundle with 10 other games for $1.50, so I wasn't expecting much. I ended up being surprised at how good this game was, and I'm excited to check out some of the company's future releases. DEEP SPACE is a permadeath platformer that uses procedural generation for a high-score gameplay; I hesitate to call it a traditional roguelite, even though it has some of its elements. The game supports leaderboards, but you will have to grind the upgrades before you have a fair chance, it only takes about 1 hour to do so. This would be a decent browser or free mobile game perhaps, but at this price I simply can't find it worth it. It's a very simple "runner" game with basic upgrades. You run, collect coins, buy an upgrade, repeat forever. From what I played it seems like you'll pretty much see all of the game in about 5 minutes. Again, not a _bad game_, but not just worth any money to me.

This isnt a negative review per se, but more of a neutral. You shoot stuff, collect coins, die, use coins to upgrade stuff, and do it all over again. And over. And over. Its fun at first, but after upgrading my health, shield, and two guns to the max, i felt like the game hit a wall and it stopped being fun. Plus, there's some stuff that i feel could use some improvements. -Every time you shoot the screen shakes...
