Night of the Raving Dead is the third episode of Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space, and it goes all out on the current zombie craze of the time of its initial release. Finally... Night of the Raving Dead is the best episode yet. It's funny, challenging, and ridiculous; but most importantly it manages to cram a lot of creativity into a 3-hour story. Backtracking is prominent, but for the first time ever it's done well. Each time you revisit an area details have changed, or you'll learn something new which can be used to further your progress. Continuing into the third episode of this season, Night of the Raving Dead focuses on encounters with zombies and a vampire prince, with some nicely fitting new locations and as-ever, a great sense of humour and well-written dialogue despite a darker theme. Conversely, the puzzles here can become a little repetitive and requiring some trial-and-error in places, which drops my overall view of the episode.
