YOOMURJAK'S RING

This was a very fun game with the vibe of wandering around in GMaps Street View but with a story to follow. I liked talking to so many different characters and how genuine all the personalities felt. It had a very slice of life vibe that lent a cozy feeling to the wandering around.

Yoomurjak's Ring is one of the most unique experiences you'll have in gaming. I suppose it's somewhat in the vein of an edutainment title. It was made to promote a Hungarian town, Eger, as well a well-regarded work of literature that was written there, Stars of Eger. A charming adventure with a few irritating elements - wandering around Eger was lovely but after seven hours it lost its shine a bit. I enjoyed the story enough to get over some of the more esoteric puzzle solutions, and I admit I was checking a walkthrough towards the end to make sure my puzzle solutions were correct before schlepping across the map to the Lyceum yet again.
