I've been looking for a modern day successor to this game and find myself coming back to Railroad Tycoon 3. No game in 23yrs has been able to combine transportation + economic sim + business management aspects better than RRT3... fortunately or unfortunately...

TLDR: Excellent Game, but Buyer Beware Railroad Tycoon 3 is old enough to drink. It was made for computers that have been outdated for quite some time. Because of its age and niche popularity, 2K has made no effort to support the game or update it for modern systems. I've played this on two computers so far. Game no longer works after upgrades of windows. Dont bother paying for this. Happy to change review once this issue is resolved. Unable to play for last year. Support is not much help either.

I had this game on my old CDROM pc either using window 2000 or ME` for the game to be available on steam, but the challenge is steam no longer supports old operating systems and the game has not been made in a playable state by the developer/ so if i want to play this game, i either need to use my old pc going back to windows xp and looking for the CD rom to run this game everytime i want to play it. if you can...
