Roadmap + 7th Anniversary Update
2025-09-137 Years of Wrath of the Goliaths It’s hard to believe it’s already been seven years. Over that time, I’ve dreamed up countless ideas for this game, and I’m grateful to say that many of them have become reality. Today isn’t just another update; it’s a celebration. A celebration of dinosaurs, and of the game itself. As we look ahead, I’m excited to share what’s coming in the next update. I hope you’ll look forward to it as much as I do. Thank you, hunters, for being part of this journey. With the major updates outlined, some minor updates include: • Reworked Main Menu • The Bones Shop to purchase licenses with bones • A new tutorial to get new hunters started! • Also improved flyer AI, they will move with the terrain, avoiding impact with the ground and each other.

It may be good to mention that among the handful of previous updates. Its worth mentioning, I made the switch to Unreal Engine 5 from Unreal Engine 4. It required a significant re-code for the menu and hunt systems. I also experimented with the various features Unreal Engine 5 has to offer. Many of these features were gorgeous, but significantly impacted performance. Some time was taken to undo many of those changes (Rollback and versioning software, who heard of 'em!). Looking ahead, I want to shake it off and continue strong. With that, here is a brief look at some of these updates, concept art, and more! ----------------------------------- Dimetrodon TLC: NEW: OLD: This TLC was done by a collaboration with Feilong and Manuelsaurus. ----------------------------------- IK and Locomotion update: Stegosaurus: ----------------------------------- Ancient Valley: A refreshing new look for the starting map. Featuring updated lighting and reworked atmosphere and clouds for improved performance. ----------------------------------- Eurodalosaurus concept art: These two pieces are only shown within the game-manual. Which will be revised once we leave early access. ----------------------------------- All for now, but I hope you look forward to these updates. A bit longer with some major surprises still in store. As we celebrate this milestone, I want to take a moment to thank you, the players. What started as a silly passion-project turned game has grown into something far greater than I could have imagined. That’s entirely because of your support. Every bit of encouragement, every piece of feedback, and every hour you’ve spent playing has helped me stay true to this project and keep moving forward. There were times when development was tough, but knowing that people believed in this game gave me the strength to continue. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey. To 7 years! - Matthew
