I've been a fan of Oddworld since 1999 or so when I happened across Abe's Oddysee on a demo disc. I was around six at the time, and the game both intrigued and terrified me. I remember drawing sligs and scrabs at school, and doing the chanting to annoy my sister as well. I bought this game when it was on sale. If you are expecting the game be similar to "New N' Tasty"then I must disappoint you. Oddworld: Abe's Exodus was a masterpiece, but this game, you can't even call it a farcry from the original games. The game simply shifted old style survival is the fittest with one hit kill 2d platformer to a 2d platformer with RPG elements. Possession lasts few seconds? Water bottles to douse...

Played this on Epic when it first came out and was pretty disappointed... but they've seemingly patched all the control-issues and bugs I experienced at the time, and I've come around to consider this one of the best Oddworld games. Still miss some of the Exoddus ideas, but this adds a lot of unique value, and gets a lot of the re-envisioning of old material right as well. Oddworld artistry shines throughout....
