I wish there was a "mixed" option. The game is interesting enough but the random monster encounters stop being scary very quickly and become annoying instead; they interrupt your exploration and it feels like their goal is to artificially increase the length of the game. I am not saying there should be zero random encounters, but there's far too many to the point where it's bothersome.
