Frederic: Resurrection of Music Director's Cut

Frederic: Resurrection of Music is a rhythm game where you play a resurrected Chopin engaging in musical duels with modern musicians from all over the world. More than half the gametime of around 1h30 (at easy) was cutscenes, but at least they were silly and amusing. Reminded me of Europeran comic books by the art style, which was appealing. No subtitles and they would have been useful to decipher certain accents....

The game could be fun with a touch screen but not having the ability to map the buttons to be symmetrical makes this very hard to play and makes it inevitable that you will lose your track of your buttons on a crowded keyboard. The game really suffers from not letting you bind space to make sure you always know which finger is supposed to be hitting what key.

i like the original more. there are some changes to this version that make the game worse in my opinion. - new bollywood level does not fit with the rest of the story - some "hard mode" segments are almost impossible now. i was able to beat the game before on chopin mode with an almost perfect score, and now i can't even beat the leprechaun level
