Whirligig Media Player

I've create a system that will strip the subtitles out of the video file, save them separately and play them in 3D space for all video paths with one exception. This allows for higher quality subtitles, better subtitle options and better control. New subtitle options So you can now easily change the font, size and position, add a shadow and change the shadows opacity and add a subtitle box and change it's opacity. The exception There is one type of subtitle I can't extract and that's subtitles that use rastered layers (basically images for each subtitle). This is more common in Blu-ray rips etc. These will play but only on the VLC path and without options for font etc. It's something I'd like to fix but one thing at a time :) New UI text and update UI improvements So firstly one of the biggest criticisms for Whirligig is the UI. Whirligig has been going for over 10 years and since I started it my skills have improved as have the options for improving the UI. I've now gone back and worked through the whole settings interface, trying to create a more consistent look and make it more readable. One other thing I've done is move the Themes menu from interface to projection, change it's name to backgrounds and include the background glow in the options. I hope this makes more sense than where it was before. Text update When I first started making Whirligig I used the only UI option, which was the legacy text system they had at the time. This texted worked well but had several drawbacks and one very significant advantage. Drawbacks to old system The quality of the text isn't very good, I had a workaround to fix it but it was never consistent. Advantage The biggest advantage was that it used the system fonts installed, which meant that I could support all text types from English, Russian, Korean, Chinese etc etc. This is what has stopped me from changing this. So why the change of heart. Well all the subtitle updates meant that I had to install more compatible fonts. This removed the problem of failing to have compatible fonts and now made the process to switch much easier. Text update conclusion So all text objects have been updated with the latest font and integration. They should be much clearer than before, much more consistent and much more adaptable for future improvements, including options to change fonts, colours etc. Overall conclusion This is a small update and a big update at the same time. Whirligig has many menus and options and there is a high chance that some of it will be wrong but this is good for moving forward and hopefully will help me keep Whirligig alive :) Bug reports Tell me all the issues you are having with this update. If the text is slightly off or it doesn't wrap around or anything you come across. These are easy to fix but not so easy to find so let me know where it's failing and I'll update it for the next release.
