There's not enough gameplay. That appears to be the general consensus with the criticism for this game. Sure it might be cheap, but I feel the amount of content is similar to a free demo. There should have been more. Gameplay was straightforward and story was interesting. But then it ends, credits roll, and you feel like you had only just started the beginning of an epic quest.

It's a quaint little point and click, you can do much worse with 3 bucks. It's kind of a shame that this is the only game by these devs because I really dig the artstyle and mechanics but the budget didn't seem to allow for more than an hour mild entertainment. I'd love to see a full game with this premise, a decade of silence from the devs doesn't seem promising for a sequel.
