Despite the punishing platforming and bad overall hitboxes (often way too big). It's honestly pretty fun! Since there are 6 games in this bundle, I will give a short review for each and then rank them per category. Do keep in mind I am reviewing them in order, not comparing each others in general but the experience and feel by playing them in order. MM1 Definitely looks like a low budget arcade game, made to kill...

This is probably the best way to experience the NES titles besides the Anniversary collection released in 2004. The game has a Turbo mode, Auto fire, Save states and Rewind for people who aren't good at retro NES games like myself here. The challenge mode of this game is brutal, especially if you plan to get all the achivements for this game. Definately worth getting when it's on sale.

Excellent alternative to emulation. The rewind feature is really well done. It feels a lot smoother than save states. Mega Man is a weird series to recommend as a whole though. I really didn't like the first three games - but each game is a step forward to produce 4-6 which are some of the best games on the NES. I recommend playing in order to see how the series evolves and figures itself out.
