This works GREAT on the steam deck and should NOT be rated "unsupported". You just need to bind an unused button to Ctrl F5 to bring up the menu to save/load/quit. Like many older games on Steam, it's just loading a ScummVM virtual machine that sips power so the battery lasts ages. (I don't understand why most scummVM games have mixed compatibility ratings for the Deck, they all work great, especially the point and...

You would think a comedy game this old would'nt be funny anymore. I am exited to inform you that you would be wrong, this is downright the funiest game I think Ive ever played. Well worth the six dolars.

Sam and Max Hit The Road is an incredible point n' click game, especially for its time. The sprites are beautiful, the music is immersive and the voice acting is great! It stills holds up very well to this day... but it also doesn't... Hit The Road has this familiar 90's difficulty where you end up being stuck again and again. I had to use a guide way too often and maybe I'm not too bright but I had a very hard time...
