Brilliant, underrated game. This was my first game ever played. I perfectly remember how amazing the simulation and the city building was. Not even Settlers had the intricacies that Cultures has. This is presumably the 2'nd game in the Cultures series although not shown explicitly anywhere. I did not find the original around, unless taking the GOG version. This is the ultimate society simulation and city building...

TOP TIER RTS !!! I got this for 0,74€ and its far better than all that unplayable ♥♥♥♥ that is even 50x more expensive,that came out last decade. its very much like Settlers 4 or strategy in style of Stronghold Crusader, same or EVEN MORE COMPLEX yea its quite a lot of work to build functional city with military production -nice music -nice graphics, game looks quite cute -bit hard to learn and control but...

Don't know why but half the title screen is in weird colours like green and purple and the other half is flickering black and white.......................................... what?

Cultures: Northland may have had fewer features than some of the later entries, but it still had a fantastic atmosphere and very enjoyable settlement building. The game could easily keep you hooked for hours and still has its charm even today. Highly recommended for fans of classic strategy games.

Hours of fun
Reviewers played it for 18 hours (the median). At $4.99, that's 28 cents an hour. A cinema ticket is about $6 an hour.
