An action/adventure game taking ques from both film-noir and samurai-drama's of old, "samurai_jazz" takes players on an adventure through an enigmatic city, engaging in sword-fights, encounters with mythological beings, and quirky dialog with the local inhabitants presented with a pseudo 8-bit style.

Similar to 8-bit games this one uses 2 buttons only. One is for attack and second for locking direction so strafing to the sides is more easy thus avoiding danger. Generally speaking game is a bit unclear with its goals so you end up walking back and forth through same screens and fighting same enemies. Visuals are ok and make up for good looking NES game. As much as I want to support Indie devs, I just don't know who I would recommend this to. The game just doesn't have anything inventive or even especially intuitive going on. You can see the contours of a greater vision here, but only that. This is clearly meant to be more of a proof of concept than a complete title, and to be fair, it is priced as such. But, it's too rough. Too unfinished. Too unrealized.
