Almost two years later — a big update for The Chests Game
2026-09-28The Chests Game came out almost two years ago. I released it in a rough state, then put off fixing it for far too long. I read all your reviews and refund comments, including the ones saying the cat was cheating. There was some truth to that: he only had three preset actions to choose from each turn, and depending on the deal, it really did look like outright cheating. I’m sorry for releasing it that way and for taking so long to fix it. I’ve finally got back to the game and reworked all of this. What’s changed: • Reworked how Boo plays. I removed the old system of randomly choosing from preset actions. Boo now remembers which cards you ask for and uses that information to decide what to ask for himself. He doesn’t peek at your hand. • Added a settings menu for volume, language and window mode.

• Added a tutorial explaining the rules of Chests, whether you’re new to the game or need a refresher. • Made an album where you can take a closer look at the souvenirs you’ve collected. • Prepared new cover art, screenshots and a new description for the game’s Steam page. Thanks to everyone who played The Chests Game and reported problems.
