Long-time fan of the Atelier series. I went into Yumia wanting to love it, but this doesn't feel like an Atelier game at all, it's missing all the charm that made me fall in love with the series. The alchemy system, feels totally gutted, uninspired and boring. I had no motivation to engage with it. Atelier Yumia will go down as the most love it, or hate it game in the franchise. It's biggest issue being that it does not allign withmany of the Atelier conventions. The game doesn't play much like most every other game, instead opting for a more open world/exploration based adventure then a straight up JRPG.
