I recently decided to play all the mainline Resident Evil games for the first time ever and it was honestly the best decision I have ever made. I loved Resident Evil 1 so much, the exploration, the vibes, and the atmosphere were just perfect. It gave me a nostalgic feeling for the 90s even though I wasn't born yet. If you haven't started playing Resident Evil yet, what the hell are you waiting for?

Resident Evil is an incredible, highly replayable, memorable, tense, and beautiful game. And it's really unfortunate that this remaster is kinda... bad. The gorgeous pre-rendered backgrounds of the 2002 GameCube original have been completely destroyed with over-sharpened, blotchy, poorly rendered upscales. There's also an intense contrast filter slapped on top of it that leads to extreme cases of crushed blacks and...
