I've been a fan of this series for a long time, and Darklords Rising is the pinacle of it. This is one of the most fun dark fantasy TBS games of all time, and Steve Fawkner is an amazing game designer (Puzzle Quest, Korsun Pocket.) It can be frustrating and random, and there's a bit of a learning curve to the UI, but there's so much heart to this game. I get lost in it for hours.

there are 5 stories to play through. yes, its an older game but with the turn-based structure its a fun, relaxing world conquering strategy that you can pause anytime when you get interrupted.
