The Second Watch Update — Every Report Counts
2026-07-16THE SECOND WATCH UPDATE — EVERY REPORT COUNTS The cameras are back online. This is more than a maintenance patch. We returned to every location, every camera, and every system—from the first report to the final moments of a shift—to make each night tense, fair, and worth completing. RULES THAT HOLD UP • Failure and strike logic have been rebuilt. Incorrect reports are now counted consistently, defeat triggers when it should, and restarting a mission can no longer result in unlimited lives, unlimited reports, or an unintended automatic win. • Every run now starts with a clean state. Anomaly totals remain accurate across repeated playthroughs and can no longer carry over or fall into impossible values. • Report handling remains responsive even when several anomalies are active. One correct report now clears the correct anomaly the first time—no repeated submissions required.

A FAIRER HUNT • Anomaly spawn coverage has been corrected across every location and camera, including the Subway Entrance. • Ghosts, Intruders, Other anomalies, and object-based anomalies now have clearer visual and behavioral identities. • Classification data has been audited throughout the game. Intruders are no longer mislabeled as Other, and a correct observation will no longer be punished as a wrong guess. • Overly obvious encounters have been reworked, while anomaly variety and pacing have been rebalanced to make careful observation—not category roulette—the heart of the challenge. BETTER IN THE DARK • Cameras can now be switched using A/D keys. • CCTV clarity, contrast, and scene readability have been improved while preserving the black-and-white surveillance style. • The audio experience has been rebuilt for all three locations, including the removal of repetitive high-pitched tones and a complete ambience pass. • Horror pacing now builds more deliberately throughout each night, with subtler changes, greater variation, and stronger escalation. • Characters, posters, and environmental artwork now follow a fully original visual identity across the entire game. TEN NEW STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS The hunt now follows you beyond a single shift. Ten Steam Achievements track everything from your first reported anomaly to 50 successful reports, surviving the Subway, Hospital, and Cabin—and even the night when They Got In. FINAL POLISH • Stability improvements across the Subway, Hospital, and Cabin, including consecutive and repeated runs. • Additional fixes for cameras, transitions, interface feedback, mission state, and anomaly behavior. If a previous shift ended because the systems stopped playing by their own rules, start a fresh night. The cameras are ready. Watch closely—every report counts now. Thank you to everyone who kept watching.
