Hi all, I've just rolled out a quick update to address a couple of the issues that certain individuals were having. Should make a difference for them. If you're one of the people who was having problems with dungeons killing you on entry or perhaps having the game shut down when entering temples, and the problem is now fixed, please let me know in the comments!

I cannot begin to quantify all the reasons this game appeals to me. That being said, here are a few things I really enjoy: It's obvious to me that the people behind this game, have put their heart and souls into it. It's single character (which is a huge + in my book), First-person, 3D. The world is persistant. This means if you find a cool location, you can tell others where it is. They'll be able to find, see...

It was a tough choice, sadly steam has no "middle" vote. And i cannot recommened the game in this final release. There are a lot of good things if you like old school hard games. But there are four things that are really bad and they really destroy the game. First: Dungeons are all mazes with the same boring hallway after hallway. Every space on the grid is used. So almost no interesting places. All look the same....

I've been playing Malevolence since the Kickstarter release and loving every minute of it. I'm a great fan of RPG's and roguelikes and Malevolence definately scratches both itches. I also love when games are unpredictable and you don't know what to expect on each playthrough. The game is very old school with some innovative modern touches, the world all the players play in is truly infinte with each player...

Lots of fun, I've been playing this since the Kickstarter Beta. Wicked loot, infinite exploration and enemies that can be a real challenge. It's a game full of 'just one more': I'll do just one more dungeon level, I'll just find the next town, I'll just see what's over the next hill... and 2 hours later you're still going.

You have got to be kidding. This is a very bad game. I wouldn't even play this if it were free. The "walking" controls are ridiculous. One click on left or right turns you 90 degrees. Don't bother with this one.
