Rotten Flesh v2.1.5 - Localazation and bug fixes!

2024-03-07

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well. As always I wish to thank EACH and everyone of you for your support and for playing the game. All your feedback, suggestions and criticism means so much to me to help me improve more and more daily. I have tested localization a bit, it's still in early works but hopefully could get it fully done in the next couple of weeks. For the moment, we have enabled interface localization. That means the main menu, settings, UI, inventory etc will be available in multiple languages other then English. You can switch the language in the settings menu. These are the new added languages in the game for INTERFACE only: - English - French - German - Spanish - Japanese - Korean - Russian - Simplified Chinese Please note this is still in early development so do let me know about any bugs. Alongside that, an additional bug fixes were present in the game.

Read the full notes

• Added multiple languages to the game which you can now change in the settings. • Updated some UI changes in general, also for the English localization. • Fixed an issue with the quality which were getting low-res textures on some areas. • Fixed more invisible barriers and some issues where the player can walk through walls. • Fixed a couple of more unaligned textures that could be seen on the map. • More additional props have been filled up in the map. • Some jumpscares sounds were improved significantly. • Fixed some controller issues, and some bugs that had to do with controller input. • Fixed the issue where the game restarts at the end. • Updated some more new sounds and music effects. • The localization is only for the normal game mode for the moment. Feel free to hop in and chat with me directly if you like on our discord. It's still very small though, but we are improving it daily and have a little nice community there :) Discord Link: https://discord.com/invite/d8WUuuRCJK Let me know if you encounter anymore bugs. Thanks and hope you have a great day all! You are all amazing, for real

It's short. The game has unsettling atmosphere that gets ruined by cheap jumpscares. Jumpscares are fun when done right, but here they get really annoying when it happen every 2 minutes. Even death is obnoxiously loud.

The game that's 15 years too late. Rotten Flesh would fit right in with 2012 indie horror games that I lapped up in my late teenage years. I'll be honest with you, as soon as I realize a horror game is in the "hide in a locker" subgenre, my opinion sours. It's an awful mechanic that ruins the tension and immersiveness of the game. Metal Gear Solid 3 was the last game to not make me want to gouge my eyes out with...

While there were some things that I liked about the game, namely the spooky atmosphere. However, the gameplay is unoriginal and the ending was cheesy and ruined the game for me personally.

I played this game with high expectation of it being good, but the repetitive tasks, useless "roy shout" feature and frequent jumpscares that are just loud and obnoxious made it boring. I really tried liking the game, sadly the downsides are more the the upsides for me. The game price is also high for a game that you can finish in 1 hour without even trying to speedrun it. It's really short and if it was in the range...
