Bought it because the art was nice, and I'm a sucker for talent trees. Unfortunately, that's all about all this game has going for it. Too slow. Too repetitive. Weirdly active combat - blocking and performing a critical attack are manual processes. Some of the items do not stack. QOL DLC costs more than the game, even after the dev lowered the cost. Hero Tale is fun, engaging, and genuinely interesting during the first few playthroughs. Unfortunately, it is also unfinished, will most likely remain unfinished, and becomes painfully stretched out once you reach the later runs. During your first playthrough, it works well as an idle game. You place your hero somewhere where the income is higher than the cost of consumables, gain levels, develop skills, farm better...

for a idle autobattler its way too boring . and way too slow. the talent tree is big. but useless with simple stat +30 hp and 90 for the big one. and for a paid game. you need dlc ? w/e dont bother. i gave it a good 28hours to see "if its beter" its not
