Officer DaMickey / Aug 4, 2023 / Adventure, Indie, RPG
Red Genie is a turn-based adventure RPG with a focus on weapon and magic variety, with the ability to swap between any one of ten equipped Weapons. This challenging game has a fantastical aesthetic and a rich soundtrack with a story found through player exploration!

Hey, just had a neurotic realization that I could add controller support, and guess what? I did! Red Genie now has gamepad support, so you can change the controls to fit whatever Gamepad you have! I tested it with my own Xbox controller, so hopefully it works out for you guys! Also made some minor balance adjustments to some less-used equipment, so I hope the buffs are fun for you all! Happy adventuring, friends! -ODaM

Loved it. Smooth movement with mouse or keyboard, a multitude of weapons to equip and use against different types of enemy, rewards for exploring thoroughly, and conversations with npc's that actually make sense. I had to play through twice to get the true ending, but enjoyed my 2nd play through as much as the first. A first rate game so its sad to see so few reviews. Thanks dev, and kind regards to you.

Love this game. A fresh RPG while simple, has it's own charm when it comes to the main character. The Variety of different weapons and which weapons do more damage to specific enemies makes you think more often rather than going in guns blazing. Fresh to play, and definitely recommend to anyone else who wants a new RPG style game to play.

I just got my feet wet today but this is a very good tribute to the classic turn-based RPGs of yesteryear. Great use of sound (and no sound) to make you aware of what's to come. Highly recommended.
