This is one of those "I wish they're was a 'Mixed Feelings' option. A short game that ends up feeling like it's dragging, especially in the first half, what Vasilisa and the Baba Yaga has going for it is the grim-dark yet whimsical and cute art style and a bangin' soundtrack. Cute yet spooky, story-focused game. The art style reminds me of painted paper dolls and is a joy to look at. The music fits the mood beautifully and surprised me with how elaborate it gets at times. Honestly, I really liked it. I originally came for the soundtrack after seeing it all over social media, but I stayed for the vibes. The art style feels like a gorgeous storybook come to life, and the sound design is so immersive it feels like being narrated a Russian fairytale by your grandmother. Vasilisa The Beautiful is one of my favourite fairy tales, so I was really intrigued and excited to play this game and it did not disappoint!
