great game, but what is the point of a steam release if it's not gonna be kept up to date with the actual game? literally zero reason to buy this seeing as whoever is in charge of it is willing to leave it behind the latest version (WHICH YOU CAN GET FOR FREE ON GITHUB) for months. edit: leaving this review up for posterity. The game is open source, and free. No point in buying this version because the person(s) putting it out there do not even bother having the game kept up to date in sync with the open source version at all. As such, this is just a little bit of a scam. CDDA as a game is good and you should play it. But no point paying for this version. Good game, DO NOT BUY ON STEAM. You can get this, more updated and more supported, for free off the official website/discord. This is a free game which has been repackaged, not by the original developers, and charged for. Just get it from the official channels.

The free version of the game got updated to Version 0.I 3 Weeks ago. The Steam version still hasn't been updated. Why should you pay 20€ if the one dev that profits from the sales on Steam can't be bothered to keep the paid version up to date. If you want to play Cataclysm, get Cataclysm: The Last Generation if you want a different fork that is acutally maintained on Steam with regular updates or just stick with the...
