We at Rebellion have released a brand-new gameplay trailer for our forthcoming action-horror title Alien Deathstorm™. Released to coincide with Gamescom, where the game was playable for the first time, the trailer showcases the thrilling first-person experience that players will face when the game launches in Spring 2027. The new Alien Deathstorm Gamescom trailer is available to watch here Alien Deathstorm sees you exploring a devastated off-world colony which has been ravaged by a cataclysmic mega-storm and overrun by dangerous aliens. You will have to use your skills and firepower to discover what has happened to the colony. You knew it was going to be bad, but it’s much worse than you expected, and it’s going downhill fast. What you thought was a rescue mission has now become a furious fight for survival.

Action-horror first-person shooter Alien Deathstorm puts you in the heat of the action as an isolated Engineer faced with unsurmountable odds. Dropped into a decimated human colony at the mercy of both a planetary scale storm and a seemingly endless swarm of predatory aliens. The storm is an ever-present and escalating danger. It has already wreaked unprecedented damage on the planet and proves a constant, ongoing threat to the intrepid Engineer. At Gamescom players got to experience the game for the first time as they sampled Alien Deathstorm’s thrilling Reactor mission. The Engineer must survive the horrific conditions and a relentless alien onslaught as they fight their way inside the malfunctioning fission reactor in an effort to retrieve the Fission Initiator. Let's be 100% clear, this is a DLC marketed as a new game. Nothing is new. Same engine, same gameplay, same enemy, same everything. In the storyline, even the same map comes round twice. Its a very low effort money grab. Entertaining? Sure, but dont expect anything new compared to SE 5. Get it on a good discount, for DLC prices, and you will be ok. It's a DLC, not a new game. If you wanna play more of SE5, buy it. If you want something new, wait for SE6.

This game should have been a DLC for the previous Sniper Elite. It's fine. The story is meh, the levels are meh, the new main character is meh, the final mission is a joke of a mission. If you love the Sniper Elite games and you can get this for cheap, it's fine. I regret preordering and paying full price for this.

It all feels too familiar. Reused maps from SE5, no real visual or gameplay improvements, charging us for the Karabiner 98 and 1911... It all just leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. This should have been a DLC for Sniper Elite 5 and nothing more.
