Localization situation update
2024-12-19Hi folks! I've been getting a lot of questions and DMs about the localizations for the To the Moon Beach Episode, so thought I'd make a post to explain the situation! Most of the translations texts are actually done (thank you to the translation teams!), but we were originally waiting on the files involving images and some other integration components. But due to some worldly circumstances outside of their control and not their fault, we weren't able to reach the localization manager who were working on them. At some points, we did get in contact briefly and it was hopeful, so we waited some more, but they've since gone dark once more.

So at this point, what we are going to do is to just remake the picture files ourselves, regardless of what progress was already made, so at least we have control over the situation. Korean version is already almost done as an initial test case, and we will move onto the other languages right afterward. If you're from one of the language groups not included yet and might be interested in testing a build at some point in the near future, please feel free to drop a message at the language's channel on Freebird's Discord http://discord.gg/rA4rXzC ("language specific" channels, near the end of the chatroom lists). Sorry for the delay on this! We were really hoping to get them out sooner as well. But now that we're doing them ourselves, at least there's tangible progress. d-(' ' d-) I'm hoping for most of the languages in progress to be out in the coming month or two.
