It belonged to a time, and it worked in the expectation for that period. Missions are fast but filled with monsters to the brim, so it will satisfy your desire for carnage while completing the story. Only recommend this game when discounted. Comparing with AS2:R, Conscription looks like a expand story mod made by fan. There are no new weapons and new battle vehicles except monster, and the numerical system is unsatisfactory: It doesn't give player enough money to buy higher-level weapon, certain enemies' damage is insanely overheat such as the bat monster who self explode and the human soldiers( the REAL boss...

No wonder i was so addicted to alien shooter games as a kid! the gameplay is just so satisfying and addicting. seeing all those alien guts on the floor and the punchy sounds of the guns. The only thing i want left is for vengeance to be added back on steam. that's what i first played. this game is pretty much the same in terms of graphics and gameplay though so im happy with that at least.
