Affogato sounded really cool on the surface, but it has the key problem that it's trying to do three different things in a game that essentially has room for any two of them. I picked up Affogato on a whim a few months ago, and generally had a good time. The dialogue and themes were engaging, and I liked the cast. Most "anime" games really aren't my thing, but the style and gameplay got me interested. At the end of the day, I think I'd reccomend this game, with a few large asterisks attached to it, though. Decent game in terms of art style, gameplay and world-building. While there could be more depth and better pacing story wise and maybe more diverse gameplay, the world-building and character relationships are solid.
