Update: Storage Fixes, Save Backups & QoL Tweaks
2026-06-16Dearest Awoken We're pushing a new small update today focused heavily on securing your progress, squashing some frustrating storage bugs and adding a few QOL adjustments. Please restart Steam to ensure you download the latest update. Below is a detailed breakdown of the changes: Critical Fixes & Save Data Protection • Ship Storage Fix: We've rolled back a cleanup process on world load from the previous update that was incorrectly removing needed data and causing ship storage loss. • Ship Containers: Containers should now correctly assign ownership. This should resolve issues that primarily occurred with ships you weren't registered to. • Character Save Double-Buffering: If you happen to encounter a crash mid-save, your old data will no longer be overwritten.

• Hourly Save Backups: We now auto-backup your data every hour. In the worst-case scenario you should never lose more than one hour of progress. • Auto Restore: If a character save does become damaged or unrecoverable the game will automatically pull from your latest backup and notify you with a UI popup. Quality of Life & Balance • Cooking Stats: Cooking stations now display recipe stats! You can finally see exactly how tasty and beneficial that omelette is before you use up your eggs. • More Horn: We've adjusted horn drop rates and amounts and simultaneously reduced the cost of explosive powder. Island Exploring: Island storage reveals are now much faster. • Respawns: Tweaked the respawn timers for both Island loot and AI encounters.
