If you’re planning to play LiS: Reunion, I strongly recommend playing this game first, since most of the side characters that appear in Reunion are introduced here. I made the mistake of being influenced by the mixed reviews and ended up playing this much later than I should have. I honestly wish I had played it...

They butchered Max's character to use her to sell another game. They should've just left her alone and made a new character, or made the story about Max and Chloe after the first game. It's a spit in the face to fans of the original characters.

Inauthentic and awkward. The original Life is Strange with Max Caulfield had so much soul. It was charismatic. This one tries too hard to be relevant, meme-y and relatable. The dialogue has that older generation trying to mimic young people feel to it. The music, animation, and setting are so darn pretty but the characters behave in such a shallow manner.

It's a pretty good sequel to the original life is strange. Leans more into the supernatural that's OK with me. Major downside the defaults graphic settings are awful, super blurry. Turning "resolution scale" to ~95% instead of 100% and "post processing" to "high" instead of "cinematic" fixed it, game is unplayable if you don't do that.

Hours of fun
Reviewers played it for 15 hours (the median). At $49.99, that's $3.33 an hour. A cinema ticket is about $6 an hour.
