Been playing this game since release on console. The fact I can sit down to replay it countless times over in the span of nearly 20 years is a clear signal of how this game "got it right" at least back when it came out. Haven't played this yet? Play it. Don't know if it is good game? It is good game.

Consider myself pleasantly surprised. A far more artful and thoughtful experience than what's on the box art. Its a Call of Duty game with actual restraint. Its squad tactics are legible; A.I provides a decent challenge and there some shocking strong moments of psychological horror and brutal historical realism here.
