I'm a huge fan of the Splinter Cell series. I have been for 20 years. I remember beating Chaos Theory and looking up what they had next. The Steam version hasn't received any patches, and the PC version of the game is bugged and requires mods to be somewhat playable. All that and it's not even that great a game, all screenshots and most of the video on the store page are from the PS2/Wii/Original Xbox version of the game, which is COMPLETELY different to this version, and arguably better.

I hate myself for putting as much time as I have into this game. tl;dr the other reviews are right: stealth is worse, the game's been abandoned by Ubisoft, and even after you get it running there's a good chance it'll be a buggy, glitchy mess. Read the comments and thought people are exaggerating, couldn’t be more wrong. A really garbage port, you can use whatever workaround or patch/update you want, it does not fix it. Really bad AI on the PC port, bugs both visual/gameplay wise. The only “workaround” to play this game is to emulate the Xbox 360 version on your PC.
