The Fallen

"The Fallen" is what comes across as a developers first Unity kitbash... there is some degree of story here, but ultimately this is an incredibly weak ripoff of Dark Souls. It's clunky, imbalanced... at least it "works", but it's so unpolished it's unpleasant to play. Gameplay is just third person soulslike block/dodge/attack gameplay. It's a yawnfest. The game assets here look a lot better than the actual game...

I don't know how harsh I should be about whats basically a very small scale studio project- and a free game at that- but dear God the controls are abysmal. Combos feel like swinging an ironing board with an anvil on the end, rolling does nothing, and the damage system operates on Castlevania logic where every single hit throws you across the room onto your ass regardless of how much damage it did.
