CYGNI: All Guns Blazing

I love bullet hell shooters but this is not one of them. The attack patterns from regular enemies is all over the place. Debated whether to buy this game or not with all the mixed reviews. Picked it up on sale and still regret spending the dough. Cygni is a pretty short game and should probably take 3 to 4 hours to complete with all the achievements. A vapid, shallow and weak shmup cloaked in a beautiful patina, Cygni solves the riddle of “make me a shmup without telling me you’ve never played one.” Leaderboards are restricted to the 2-3h arcade runs and not individual stages (which are long in and of themselves).
