I bought this on sale and got 40+ hours out of this, which is refreshingly good value. The learning curve is frustrating at first, but trust me, STAY WITH IT. Stick with the characters you love, upgrade them, level them up strong, and like me you will have a solidly entertaining experience. It is not a bad game if you like turn based games but after couple of missions (or 1st chapter) you basically saw everything that game offers (except some new classes with their skills), last chapters become a bit repetitive and the game is pretty short. If you like this genre get it at 50-75% off.

Its not a bad game. It has a good, aliens like atmosphere. Other than a character completely freezing and becoming unmoveable during the tutorial requiring a restart, I didn't encounter any bugs. The big problem with it IMO is that the combat is all defensive even when you are on offence. The only viable strategy seems to be shuffle forward, set overwatch, kill horde till gap, shuffle forward. And this gets boring...

Do you like tight turn-based action, squad management, (almost) perfect information, incremental upgrades, characters who have visuals, skill trees and upgrades that give them the awesome personality the developers didn't have time to create, the map/room system from 'Slay the Spire' and the rest system from 'The Darkest Dungeon' (RIP Wayne June)?
