I play Costume Quest every October for Halloween. It is one of my favorite seasonal video games. I grew-up playing it on the Xbox 360 back when it was first released in 2010. I played this game years ago on my uncle's PlayStation, but never gotten past the first town since he didn't get the full game until years later. When I got this on my laptop, it brought back memories from when I was younger.

It’s one of the classics among indie games, and I can see why: it’s cute and light-hearted with a simple turn-based battle system, but with enough variety in skills and power-ups to keep it entertaining, Double Fine's seal of quality. It works perfectly on the Deck, which makes it ideal for playing in short sessions. Of course, it’s much better to play it at Halloween season.

I have many memories from playing this game on my PS3 as a kid, and upon revisiting it, I'm glad it holds up as good as it does. The writing, story, & art design are all fantastic. Even though it's geared towards kids there's still a great amount of care put into each character's dialogue, there's some genuinely funny lines in this game.
