Regiments is a Real-Time Tactics game set in Germany 1989. The Cold War has gone hot, and the inferno is raging. Lead your Regiment through the fires of conflict and the fog of war. Break through the lines, call in artillery, maneuver, feign retreats, stage defenses, counter-attack. Do not relent.

I'm too old, slow, and dumb to play RTS games...but I can play this one! You can fully control the pace to suit your own needs and limitations. There is plenty of content, especially with the DLC; Skirmish Mode and Warpath extends this even further. Highly recommend to novice and veteran gamers alike.

Regiments is, frustratingly, almost exactly the kind of game I should love. The atmosphere is excellent, the sound design is great, the graphics are perfectly fine, the controls are clear, and the amount of detail put into the units is fantastic. Real vehicles, believable equipment, good Cold War atmosphere, plenty of tactical options. Everything feels like it was made by people who actually care about military...

This game hits the sweet spot for me in terms of accessibility, pacing, fun, and interesting equipment to play with. The various Regiments have quite a few options with the DLC to customize and call in based on what you need in various tactical situations. I have essentially a potato HP laptop, if I set the priority to 'High' and its affinity to 4 cores, the game runs very well for me. Start and end of a game...
