Firstly, I want to say that I played this game over 300 hours. I had a lot of fun playing the game, especially in the early stages. And I enjoyed the game for a lot of hours, I played it on and off since some years. There were a lot of nice changes and quality of life improvements done, but the last year was just very frustrating and unsatisfying. I don't understand developers which just ignoring their core audience...

After 200 hours, I have to give this game a negative review. I've become exhausted by the slowing down of the game and insane requirements for events. The experience needed to level, vs the experience you get for normal fishing, is insane. Grinding the hardest I can at level 39, with bonus rods, premium, the best chair, bonus food, etc, it takes 4 to 6 hours to get a single level, and it only goes up as you get...

The developer ninja-nerfs the already ♥♥♥♥♥♥ “Christmas event” in the middle of its duration, cutting the rewards by 60% in a typical Russian sly move. People who didn’t sell their “rewards” are ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And it’s not the first time the dev has done this ♥♥♥♥. If you’re not a masochist trying to get spat on, then avoid this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥; it’s not worth your nerves.

tl;dr - Very, very exceptional game. Better than RF4 and Fishing Planet in most ways, with RF4's deeper simulation mechanics to the fishing itself really being the only thing I see that this game doesn't do better than both of those.
