I cannot recommend Scarlet Nexus, and it’s not because of gameplay or story — it’s because the game literally breaks and prevents you from progressing. In Chapter 5 (Kasane route), I encountered a game-breaking bug where after defeating all enemies, the barrier wouldn’t disappear and the game still thinks you’re “in battle.” There are no enemies left, no indicators, nothing — just a soft lock that completely stops...

I really wanted to like this game, it is well made, and the combat is fun. But it has got some of the most absolutely infuriating storytelling I have ever seen. It just strings you along ENDLESSLY, and not in a good, tension-building way, either, but with fantastically stupid conversations and people failing at asking the simplest questions.
