Many moons ago, we announced working on a new map called "Genome". Obviously, plans have changed since seeing the love for Nightmare. However, many flaws have been brought to our attention, and so, since July, we've been working on a Nightmare rework to implement what we've missed. After Nightmare's "V2", we will pass over Misery, address common issues with the map, and then complete Genome. Here's the latest progress on the Nightmare rework. Note: These photos are work in progress. Everything you see is untextured first draft meshes that are subject to change. In the Nightmare rework, the docks area is being heavily reworked by adding revised sections from the Godot era of Aneurism's development (Slide 2), including the OG Red Lion Bar, which the present day Red Lion Bar is based off of. This entire sector encompasses the bottom left of the map, with 3 other sectors taking up the other quadrants known as Industrial, Commercial, and Residential. This is the Red Lion Bar interior, and the Port Civil Center, situated inside a corner store. This is where the train passes through Port from the Industrial Sector on its way to the Wastelands And finally a birds-eye view of the Port Sector in its current state The Final Elephant: Shortly before wrapping up Version 20, we received feedback from a YouTube post outlining concerns and feedback with how the game's playing. We couldn't fit any time to address these concerns in this update, regardless we'd like to inform that we are paying attention to how the game's feeling. In the coming patches, we're reviewing how progression and gameplay systems are rewarding players for their time alongside other items. This is an iterative process, if you have any feedback to provide on how the experience is going, please feel free to voice it in the comments. We're a small team, but we review the discussions and posts surrounding ANIV very frequently, and we appreciate hearing how we can improve your time. Thank you for your attention, enjoy Version 20.
