OmniNavigation is getting a major update!
2026-09-29We’ve completely overhauled the minimap, and the result speaks for itself: sharper, faster, more detailed, and now available for every installed map, whether it’s official, custom-built, or modded. We’ve also made a number of improvements to navigation and searching. Here’s the full changelog: • New map style: roads with an asphalt look, railway tracks, water, terrain surfaces, and elevation • Minimaps are now generated directly on your PC from the map files for every installed map, including custom and modded maps. After a map update, the minimap is automatically regenerated • The minimap is sharper and opens faster because only the visible area is loaded • New main menu with a list of all installed maps and a search function • Tile size is now detected automatically for custom maps and no longer needs to be specified manually

• "Show Stop" now lets you jump to any stop on the map, with search and a brief highlight. Starting points can be found via "Show Starting Point" • The mouse cursor no longer jumps around when opening the minimap • Chrono stops and the connections between stops are now read correctly • Roads, intersections, and their lengths are now read more accurately, making route tracking more reliable • The red line is now hidden behind you while driving, so you only see the route ahead of you • The minimap can now be zoomed. The mouse wheel now zooms the map in and out instead of moving it up and down. You can still pan the map by holding down the mouse button • OmniNavigationSchnittstelle.exe is no longer required. OmniNavigation now reads the data from OMSI 2 directly, so no additional program needs to be running Get the Add-On here
