Given the way that Daybreak Games has monetized nearly every aspect of the game and paywalls everything from mercenary functionality (with lower quality mercenaries being "dumber") to spell functionality (spend $$ to upgrade your spells!) I have played EverQuest II for a long time. Long enough to know when something is broken, and long enough to know when developers simply stop caring. What is happening now is not a mistake or a rough patch. It genuinely feels like the developers have chosen to ignore the game, it doesn't even feel like an accident.
